DRE Goes Multi-Sim: Now Supporting ACC

Multi-Sim Support: ACC

Exciting times! I’ve expanded DRE beyond iRacing to support Assetto Corsa Competizione (ACC), with more sims on the horizon. Here’s everything you need to know about the multi-sim update.

Ever since I launched DRE, there’s been one consistent piece of feedback from the community: “Hey, what about other sims?” Well, I’ve been listening, and I’m thrilled to announce that DRE is finally breaking free from its iRacing-only roots!

The Big News: Multi-Sim Support

Let’s cut straight to the chase – DRE now supports Assetto Corsa Competizione! Yes, you read that right. While iRacing remains the primary platform (and my first love, let’s be honest), I’ve been working hard to bring DRE’s magic to ACC as well.

Think of it like having a Swiss Army knife that’s really good at cutting things but can also do other neat stuff. iRacing support remains the sharp main blade, while ACC support is like getting that awesome bottle opener you didn’t know you needed until you had it.

Getting Started with ACC

Setting up ACC support in DRE is easier than finding excuses for that last-lap incident. You’ve got two options:

Multi-Sim support Wizard

  1. Take the scenic route through the Get Started Wizard:
    • Head to Settings -> General -> Start Wizard
    • Follow the friendly prompts (don’t worry, they don’t bite)
  2. Or the quick shortcut:
    • Navigate to Settings -> Sim Connection -> Racing Simulators
    • Find ACC in the dropdown and enable it
    • Done! (See? I told you it was quick)

What to Expect

Now, let me set some expectations here – and I promise to be straight with you. While I’m excited about this multi-sim support, it’s important to understand how it works.

iRacing remains my primary focus, kind of like how your mom always liked your sibling better (I’m kidding!). This means all the core DRE features you know and love will continue to evolve with iRacing first. ACC support includes the features that overlap with iRacing’s functionality, but some simulator-specific features won’t be available.

And here’s a little teaser that I probably shouldn’t share (but will anyway) – Assetto Corsa Evo support is next on my hit list. But shhh, you didn’t hear that from me! 🤫

Feature Differences

I know some of you are detail-oriented (okay, let’s call it what it is – sim racing nerds, just like me), so here’s the honest truth about what you won’t find in ACC compared to iRacing:

  • No off-track or incident tracking (ACC handles boundaries differently)
  • No tear-offs (GT cars have wipers for a reason, right?)
  • No fast repairs (because GT3 life is hardcore life)
  • Some telemetry features are different (ACC’s always-on approach)

A specialty of ACC is the lack of tire compound data for opponents cars, meaning DRE will gray out any laps completed in transitioning phases of a wet racing session.

But don’t let this list discourage you! The core DRE experience – the strategy calls, the timing info, the voice interactions – they’re all there and ready to help you shave off those precious seconds.

This is just the beginning of DRE’s multi-sim journey, and I couldn’t be more excited to have you all along for the ride. Of course, the integration with ACC is free and available for all DRE users. See more about the Simulator Support here.

And make sure to cast your vote here on the next simulators to get support.

And yes, I’ve got my eyes on Assetto Corsa Evo! Once Kunos exposes more Shared Memory from their new open-world masterpiece in 2025, I’m planning to add support for it as well. But let’s not get ahead of ourselves – for now, I’m focused on making sure ACC integration works smoothly for everyone.
