I’ve got something pretty neat to share with you today. DRE now keeps you informed about what’s happening with those pesky flags your opponents are getting. Because let’s face it, knowing when your competitors are in trouble can be quite… strategic. 😉
What Flags Are Tracked?
I’ve set up DRE to focus on the flags that really matter. For your class competitors (because those are the ones you’re really racing against, right?), DRE will notify you about:
- Disqualification flags (ouch!)
- Black flags (someone’s been naughty)
- Meatball flags (when their car needs some loving)
But here’s the catch – you’ll only hear about these when they’re either ahead of you or down to 5 positions behind in your class. I figured you probably don’t need to know about that backmarker who’s 20 positions down getting a black flag!
For the entire field, I’ve added slow-down penalty alerts, but only for drivers within 5 seconds ahead of you. Because knowing when that guy just in front of you has to slow down? That’s pure gold for your overtaking plans!

Make It Your Own
Want to customize what you hear about? Head over to Session -> Events -> Opponent Flags in your DRE settings. By default, I’ve set this up to work in Race sessions only, but you can tweak that to your heart’s content.
For the extra particular among you (I see you, tweakers!), there’s even a selector under Session -> Events -> Opponent Flags -> Class-Only Flags where you can pick and toggle which specific flag alerts you want to hear for class drivers only, or for all when turned off.
