Roadmap
Want to see some of what’s in store for future DRE updates? See the features coming to DRE below.
This roadmap shows a prioritized list of features coming up with the prioritized at the top. This list won’t commit to any time frames. This roadmap is not exhaustive and plenty more features are planned, that are either too small to include here or are improvements. Stay tuned via the Newsletter and Discord for development progress.

Personality
Let DRE become alive by adding personality, emotion, and affection to what you do and the actions you take.
This feature includes banter, swearing, being heated, following the on-track stress levels and intensity, and provides a more immersive DRE verbal expression.
Contrary, if you fancy DRE to be clinical and concise without any of this, this makes it possible as well.
Open
Multi-Sim Support
Expand DRE to function with other sim racing titles such as the Assetto Corsa family, Factor 2, Automobilista.
Please do specify in the comments, which sim racing titles you would like to see
Open
Race For Trees
DRE commits to greener sim racing by planting trees.
For subscribers, there will be a possibility to build up race mileage that can be converted to planting trees. DRE App will calculate and show how much emissions have been saved by not racing in real life vs sim racing. For x amount of sim racing distance, DRE will plant x amount of trees.
The exact details are yet to be determined.
Open
Driver History
Let DRE profile opponents from their historic performance in official and hosted racing and give you on-the-fly tips about their potential on-track behavior
- Has the driver not driven for a while? They might be shaky and risky in close contact
- Has the driver won in the last races or been on a good streak? Maybe it’s better to let them by and focus on other battles
- DNF’ing frequently? Hang back and let the driver make the mistake.
DRE to feature multiple alerts to present the driver analysis as you go.
Open
Action Camera v2
Build further on the Action Camera features, to expand on the immersion of DRE as a commentator, TV-producer, etc..
Construct drone-like camera operations that bring the sim racing camera work to the next level.
Currently in being considered
Open
Setup Versioning
Let DRE keep a record of changes to your sim racing car setups.
Allow for tracking and sharing setups between your teammates easily.
Makes it possible to go back in time and revert changes.
Makes it possible to clearly see what changes affect what sectors and lap times.
Open
Settings Profiles & Bind Presets
Have multiple profiles for different DRE settings values, like Fuel Buffer in GT3 vs stock cars.
You should be able to see an overview of the delta (differences) only, so it’s easy to understand the changes
Allow for multiple keybind and controller binding presets, that you can easily swap between live. Set up basic keyboard bindings in iRacing, and combine, assign and mix between controllers through DRE. DRE takes care of sending the right keyboard bind to iRacing, but allows for steering wheel swap on-the-fly, and car-specific preset auto-selection.

Open
Mic Input Stability
Ensuring that input from speaking is analyzed better, and that noise is not picked up as speech. Using an additional neural voice recognition system in a hybrid setup increases the probability of correct voice recognition. In other words, attacking voice recognition from more angles improves the understanding.
The major effect of this feature will be overall fewer false positives, preventing noise from being interpreted as voice.
This feature also builds the foundation for Intent Recognition
Open
Intent Recognition
The potential here is endless but can really benefit you when driving:
- Spend less time remembering exact command phrases
- Stay in YOUR flow and speak your mind freely
This feature lets you speak in your natural language and jargon and DRE will attempt to extract meaning and intention from your speech. DRE will match to action intents using artificial intelligence and be optimized over time.
Example: You speak: “I really don’t like him” (after being in a battle with another driver with sketchy driving) -> DRE finds the intent of marking this driver as a bad driver and remembers the driver for next time. DRE understands context from your recent actions with DRE and from on track events.
Contrary to the present solution; with regular speech recognition commands, a similar way to call marking a driver is: “Mark driver behind on track” (a more explicit way).
Open
Signals v2
More auditory Signals coming to DRE.
The plan is to heavily expand on non-verbal warnings, which in different situations become handy and a better approach than a spoken message. Especially in rapid situations, non-verbal sounds are preferred to spoken alerts.
- Brake Threshold Finder
- Hybrid Deploy sounds
- Lockups (if possible)
- Tire Temps
- DRS intelligence
- Slippery surfaces
- Windformer
- Enhanced audio design that increases the feel of the environment, like gravel, dirt, ambiences
Open
Track Zones & Corners
The Track Zones & Corners feature brings you named turns as you learn a new track, gives you pace notes, or tips to attack a corner differently.
Furthermore, with known corners, it will be possible to analyze your performance going through these, giving you a heads up of not only which corners you can improve on, but also how to gain some time.
Track Zones are stretches of race track that can be either straights, corners, or collections of both.
Sector information and performance, like how you’re improved in the past sector and what to be pay extra attention to in the upcoming sector
This feature lays the foundation for more corner analysis, which is where the real speed can be found.

Open
Race Strategy
DRE to take ownership of race strategy planning and execution during races.
Get forecasted pitstops fuel and tire predictions based on weather changes, fuel burn, congestion on track, tire sets available, and more.
Currently, data gathering is in progress, to allow the data foundation for the models.
