- Intents in DRE are triggers for logic and actions.
- Commands are the precise grammar used to trigger intents.
Speech Engine options
Select between three options in Sound -> Recognition -> Speech Engine:
- Using Classic recognizer settings in DRE, you can speak specific voice commands like “Hello DRE”, to trigger intents like Greet.
- Neural recognizer settings allows you to more freely speak to DRE in your own style. Here, DRE attempts understandings your intention behind your words to find intents to trigger the logic.
- Choosing the Hybrid recognizer setting gives you the best of both worlds: Fast recognition for common intents, with broad catch-net for anything else.
To sum it up: With Neural recognition, you don’t have to speak in a certain way to trigger intents, like you need with Classic recognition that uses specific voice commands to trigger intents.
