⭐ Radio Noise confirmation with Voice Activated and Hotwords Input Modes
- Hotwords and Voice Activated input modes will now have radio background noise while the voice input is actively being captured by DRE.
- This mimics the radio noise while Push-To-Talk is held.
- Toggle this specific for those two modes in
Sound -> Input -> Input Modes
⭐ New Voice Command Fuel Options
Lap-based fuel commands: Set fuel directly based on the number of laps you want to run
- Say commands like "Set fuel to 3 laps", "Pit stop fuel 5 laps", or "Fuel for 10 laps"
- DRE automatically calculates fuel needed using your average fuel consumption per lap
Virtual Energy commands for LMU: Control Virtual Energy cars in Le Mans Ultimate with voice
- Say commands like "Virtual Energy 100", "Set V E to 55", or "Virtual Energy to 85 percent"
- Automatically converts Virtual Energy percentage into the appropriate fuel amount for your car
Add or remove fuel commands: Fine-tune your fuel load relative to current amount
- Say commands like "Add additional 20 liters of fuel", "Remove 15 gallons", "Minus 5 kilos", "Increase 4 laps of fuel", "Remove 2 laps of fuel"
- DRE supports liters, gallons, kilos, and laps as units
🔄 Improved Hybrid Speech Recognition in Push-To-Talk mode
- Short voice commands (< 0.8 seconds) now prioritize the Classic recognizer for faster response times.
- Longer voice commands (≥ 0.8 seconds) now prioritize the Neural recognizer for better accuracy with complex sentences.
- This prevents the Classic recognizer from falsely matching partial phrases (e.g., matching "Hello DRE" from "Hello DRE, I hope you can hear me now").
- Reduced overall recognition time.
🔄 Faster Dashboard loading
- The Dashboard now opens instantly when you click the button, even on slow internet connections.
✅ Fixed Push-To-Talk cutting off the end of your voice input
- Fixed a bug where the last word(s) of your sentence were lost when using Push-To-Talk.
- For example, saying "Can you hear me now?" would only register as "Can you".
- This was caused by the Voice Activity Detection (VAD) interfering with Push-To-Talk, prematurely stopping the speech recognition before you finished speaking.
- VAD is now fully bypassed during Push-To-Talk since the button press itself defines when you’re speaking.
- This also fixes an issue where the beginning of your voice input could be repeated/looped at the end of the recording.
✅ Split Info retrieval giving up too quickly
- When you asked "What split is this?", DRE would sometimes give a stale answer or say it doesn’t know, even though your split was visible on iRacing.
- The problem was that DRE gave up after just 15 seconds of trying. When you join a race, it takes time for your session to show up in iRacing’s system.
- DRE now keeps trying for up to 4 minutes after you join, giving your session plenty of time to register.
- If you ask again after it already gave up, DRE will now automatically retry instead of just repeating the old "I don’t know" answer.
- Added detailed logging so if split info still fails, the log may reveal why (network issues, iRacing maintenance, session not registered yet, etc.).
✅ Analytics Fuel Window skewed, not following the downwards slope
✅ Changing tire compound would not enable tire changes if the requested compound was the current one
- When requesting a tire compound change to the same compound that’s already selected, DRE would skip enabling tire changes
- Now properly enables tire changes even when the compound is already correct
✅ Spotter silent
- Double calls self-canceled spotter calls
- Overtakes that were soon to end (less than 200ms until, estimated) were not heard.
- This threshold is now lowered to 150ms allowing more overtake calls.
- Also now, in order to cancel the soon-to-end-anyway spotter speak, the relative speeds must be more than 5 m/s.
✅ LMU
- LMU: Unrelated commands seem to override previous one
- Fixed fuel being incorrectly reset when only clearing tire changes
- Fixed tire changes for non-Virtual Energy cars (ELMS) only applying to RF, LR, RR tires and missing LF tire
- Pit menu item indexes are now dynamically read from the REST API instead of being hardcoded
- This fixes compatibility issues with different car types that have different pit menu structures
- DRE conflicting with LMU
- DRE was only reading the AlternativeInput section from LMU’s controller config
- The actual button mappings for most controls (including Pit Menu) are stored in the Input section
- DRE now correctly reads controller mappings from BOTH sections of LMU’s direct_input.json
- This ensures all controller buttons are properly detected and won’t conflict with DRE keyboard commands
- Setting tire compounds wasn’t effective. Now DRE sets individual tire compounds, instead of trying to set it on the "Tyres" alone
- Fuel set in the Pitstop MFD on non-Virtual Energy cars wasn’t properly read/set from the sim.
- Adjusted fuel calculations for LMU fuel usage multipliers (2x, 3x)
- Historic fuel data is now scaled to match the session’s fuel usage setting
- This improves fuel estimates from the start of the session when using 2x or 3x fuel
- Fuel data from non-standard fuel usage sessions is no longer saved to the database
