π Neural Recognition with ‘Voice Activated’ and ‘Hotword’ Input Modes
- Replaced the old volume-based voice activity detection (VAD) with a new "Neural" model. It’s much better at telling the difference between your voice and other sounds (like a cough or a door slam), leading to fewer false activations. This is the new default setting.
- An option to select VAD Modes have been added to
Sound -> Input -> VAD Mode.
- An option to select VAD Modes have been added to
- Added
Sound -> Input -> Mute Mic When DRE speaksfor ‘Voice Activated’ and ‘Hotword’ input modes- Enable this to stop DRE from listening to itself, when using the ‘Voice Activated’ or ‘Hotword Activated’ Input Modes.
- Disable this only, if using headphones for the output.
- If you send DRE speech (or any other speech like Discord voice chat) through your speakers, with this option disabled, DRE will start picking up other voices as speech for processing.
- This option is enabled by default, preventing DRE from listening to itself speak.
- Lowered and reset all values of the
Sound -> Recognition -> Classic Recognizer Offsetto 20%.- Adjusted the Hybrid Speech Recognition balance to make it better at understanding simple, specific commands.
- This gives more authority to the classic recognizer in Hybrid mode compared to the default 30% before.
- Play around with this value:
- If you experience simple commands that you know exist as specific grammar won’t be recognized, then lower this Offset.
- On the other hand, when getting false positives, where DRE recognizes parts of your speech but not your whole input, or it changes your input completely, then increase this Offset.
- The name of the setting has been precised to
Classic Recognizer Offset in Hybridas this offset only applies with Hybrid speech recognition.
- Allowed more of the leading voice input to ensure talk is captured in full for the recognizers.
- Disabled VAD fully for Push-To-Talk Input Mode
π Automatic hotfix updates
- Minimized the waiting time after releasing new version for hotfixes.
- You can always manually check to start a new update using
Settings -> Updates -> Check now.
β Changing app language would not save the setting before restarting
β Duplicated voice changed alerts
β Improved reliability with iRacing authentication
- Deferred interactive authentication when you’re on track racing to avoid disruptions during races. No more browser pop-ups mid-race in case of faulty iRacing authentication.
- Prevented spammy re-authentication, if authentication to iRacing is lost
β Session Laps Left
- Laps Left based on time remaining could spiral out of control.
- Hard-limiting to 4500 laps left, equaling a bit more than 20 sec / lap for 24 hours. This will prevent excessive data generation in case of data failures.
- Lower-capping lap times used for calculating laps left, to prevent spiraling lap left in early stages.
